Job description

Plans, directs, or coordinates purchasing, warehousing, distribution, forecasting, customer service, or planning services. Manages logistics personnel and logistics systems and directs daily operations.

What you will do

  • Planning of vehicle requirements according to customer orders
  • Budget, plan and manage resources in staff and equipment needed for operating effectively
  • Ensure compliance to all QM and SHE requirements
  • Oversee planning of daily despatching to meet customer requirements, provision of material handling equipment.
  • Manage and control budget and staff to remain within company objectives
  • Manage and control outbound logistics, including contractor management for customs and other clearances
  • Develop and improve Plant Traffic staff, processes and procedures
  • Ensure training of staff where applicable
