Job description

Develops, implements and evaluates risk management policies and programs, trains employees in occupational health and safety procedures, monitors and audits the workplace, and records and investigates incidents to ensure safe and healthy working conditions.

What you will do

  • Assist in ensuring ongoing organisational compliance with OHSAS 18001 (health & safety management system requirement)
  • Issue daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly ESH reports (incidents / accidents / environmental etc.) '- Issue corrective action reports for incidents; near-misses; system non-conformances
  • Assist with the establishment & implementation of action plans from findings raised during OHS Act Surveys by Occupational / Industrial Hygienists and sourcing quotations and placing orders onto the system for the different surveys to be conducted
  • Write Procedures; Work Instructions; Safe Work Manuals; and other documentation in support of the ESH Management System Write Procedures; Work Instructions; Safe Work Manuals; and other documentation in support of the ESH Management System
  • Source and share Safety, Security, Health and Environmental related topics
  • Assisting in investigations into accidents, incidents and near-misses, which will include corrective actions and preventative measures, should any be needed
  • Schedule follow-up audits to ensure findings are closed out within the defined time period
